The day you've been waiting for is finally here! There are some big, exciting new features that come with the Practice Partner based EHR's most recent update to version 11.2 (Practice Partner, Medisoft Clinical and Lytec MD) and we're here to share them with you.
The most important update is that this new release is 2015 CEHRT certified. This is absolutely required for MIPS participants this year. The update also includes the Enterprise Rx Application and the new UpDox Patient Portal as well as many more new features.
Enterprise RX will provide an entirely new look and feel to the ePrescribing process for both scheduled and non-scheduled drugs. The Enterprise Rx application will completely update the prescribing functionality in eMDs Practice Partner, including:
- Integration of CoverMyMeds Rx Benefit Clarity - real time patient benefit information during the prescribing workflow.
- Updated Health Summary containers for Problems, Allergies, and Medications. These updates give the user additional information and a customized view.
- Real time Drug Updates due to full integration with Surescripts and FDB (First Data Bank) – no more downloading and applying drug content updates.
- Improved workflow with less clicking and more information at your fingertips.
- UpDox Patient Portal
Customers looking to report via MACRA/MIPS will need to be on this release, and on the eMDs Patient Portal powered by Updox, throughout their entire reporting period. So that means this update must be complete by September 30, 2019, as that will be the last possible day to begin your 90 Day minimum EHR Promoting Interoperability Reporting.
We will be following up this blog post with more detailed information on each of the new features available int the 11.2 upgrade.
