NextGen Office Enhancements for Women’s Health OB Banner

In the past six months, the dedicated NextGen Office product development team has collaborated closely with a select group of Women's Healthcare end users. By gaining invaluable insights into their existing workflows, they have diligently focused on enhancing the the NextGen Office EHR software. As a result, they have successfully achieved reduced documentation time, a vastly improved user experience, decreased frustration levels, and ultimately, superior patient outcomes.

The first result of this collaborative effort between users and product development is the OB Banner, available now in the NextGen Office EHR.

The new OB Banner is present at the top of every screen in the NextGen Office EHR for patients  that have an active pregnancy.

The data under TPAL, EGA, initial or final EDD, and blood type and Rh are derived from data entered in Obstetric Hx for the patient. The risk level and risk factors are derived from data entered for the patient in the OB Risk Factors tab in Medical Hx.

Obstetric (OB) providers and clinical staff need to quickly obtain key information about the obstetric patient without having to search through multiple tabs or areas of the chart or encounter. The new OB Banner appears at the top of the patient chart and encounter for patients with an active pregnancy, providing the important data necessary to understand the patient's pregnancy information. The banner is sticky so it stays at the top of the page even when you scroll down the page.
