Lytec Features

New in Lytec 2009 (Promotional Pricing Available)

There are several exciting new features in this version to help you to manage your practice:

Improved Patient Statements -
New fields have been added to patient statements including charge adjustments, balance, insurance payments, patient payments, patient notes, and customized messages on each statement.

Modification to Charges and Payments Screen -
In the Charges and Payments screen, there is a new check box called "Show item payments". Checking this box makes payment and adjustment details display directly under their corresponding charge line item. View new Charges & Payments Screen

Billing Status Code -
This code is stored per billing number and can be used as a filter to include or exclude on all financial reports and when printing claims and statements, or sending electronic claims.

Billing Inactive Codes -
This new feature will warn you when you save the bill of any and all inactive values used in that bill, all in one warning screen.

Practice Analysis Subtotal by Provider -
Multi-provider clinics will want to take advantage of the new ability to run the Practice Analysis with subtotal information by provider.

All Data Fields are Available for Use in Custom Reports -
The user can create new or revised claim forms, patient statements, patient communications, lists, and other financial reports.

Added Month-to-Date (MTD) and Year-To-Date (YTD) Totals to Financial Reports -
The following reports add this new option: Day Sheet, Transaction Journal and Practice Analysis.

Added Location and Facility Subtotals to Financial Reports -
The following reports add the new option to Subtotal by Location or/and Facility Codes: Procedure Code Analysis Summary, Insurance Charge Analysis, Insurance Payment Analysis, Insurance Transaction Code Analysis, Patient Aging, Insurance Aging and Service Aging.

Prepayment Activity Zero Balance Suppression -
Lytec 2009 brings ease in a paper saving process for identifying unapplied prepayments. Under REPORTS/PATIENT/PREPAYMENT ACTIVITY, you will find an added checkbox option for EXCLUDE ZERO BALANCES.

Patient Notes Security & Audit Trail Enhancement -
Lytec 2009 adds additional security selection options to allow or restrict users from viewing, adding, deleting, and modifying patient notes.

Patient Merge Utility -
When multiple patient records have been created for the same patient the Merge Patient Utility can be used to make them one chart. View Patient Merge Utility

Year-End Patient Payment Detail (Income Tax Report) -
Lytec 2009 includes a new report which allows the practice to easily print the total of a patient's payments received and posted by the practice on a calendar year basis.

Create Charges From Appointment Scheduler -
Easily create a new charge directly from the appointments screen. View Appointment

Multi-Select Mode Reporting -
Rather than a user selecting a "range", as has been the past method, a user can select individual key values/codes from a displayed list.

Share Appointment Templates -
A user can create and/or edit a template for a single resource and then allow other resources to use that same template.

Just some of the highlights from Lytec 2008:

Advanced Searching Capability
Use this feature to filter records in the lookup windows as you type. You can choose to select no filter, to filter the list by values anywhere in the field, to filter the list by the beginning value, or to filter the list by the ending value.

Remittance Tracking for Secondary Electronic Claims
The Remittance Tracking Information feature allows users to store and access information sent back by the primary insurance carrier. This information may be sent in Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) files or on the Explanation Of Benefits (EOB). When billing a secondary carrier, this information may be necessary in order to get paid the correct amount.

Prepayment Receipt
Print a receipt after entering prepayments received from a patient.

Scheduling Advanced Reporting Reports
Use Lytec's Schedule Task feature to automatically run Advanced Reporting reports.

Statements
Statement Pre-Run Report

Run a Statement Pre-Run Report to see information about a batch of statements before you actually print it. When you run the Statement Pre-Run Report, you will first pick a statement format and then enter ranges in the Print Statement window like you would when you process statements. The program then processes the statements that would have been printed if you had used those ranges and organizes the data in a report instead of printing statements.

Statement Count Limitation
Use this feature to filter billings based on the number of statements that have gone unpaid. This feature is available on the Include and Exclude tabs of the Print Statements, Print Billing Cycle Statements, Reprint Statements, and Print Collection Letters windows.
